Steel Sheet Piles
Classification :
PRODUCT DETAILS
I. Specfication
Steel sheet piles are a type of steel with linkages along their edges. These linkages allow multiple steel sheet piles to be tightly connected to form a continuous earth- and water-retaining structure. They are widely used in temporary and permanent support scenarios for various projects. They come in a variety of cross-sectional shapes (such as U-shaped, Z-shaped, and straight-belly), allowing you to choose the appropriate model based on your project needs

Versatile: ideal for retaining walls, cofferdams, flood control.
Reusable, cost-effective long-term.
Reliable performance in tough conditions.
II. Material
The core material of steel sheet piles is low-carbon steel (such as Q235 steel), although high-strength low-alloy steel (such as Q345 steel) is used in some specialized applications. Low-carbon steel offers excellent toughness, plasticity, and weldability, allowing it to withstand deformation during piling. High-strength alloy steel is suitable for projects with higher loads and more complex geology, improving structural stability and impact resistance.
In addition, to enhance corrosion resistance (for example, in wet soils, rivers, and coastal environments), some steel sheet piles undergo anti-corrosion treatments, such as coating or hot-dip galvanizing, to extend their service life.
III. Applications
Steel sheet piles are used in a variety of fields, with their core functions being support and isolation. These include:
Municipal Engineering: Urban road widening, underground pipeline laying (such as sewage pipes and cable trenches), subway excavation, etc., where they prevent earthwork collapse on both sides and protect surrounding buildings and pipelines.
Water Conservancy Engineering: River dredging, dam construction, port and terminal construction, and flood embankment reinforcement, where they can form temporary or permanent water retaining structures to prevent soil erosion and river backflow.
Construction Engineering: Deep foundation pit support for industrial and residential buildings (such as basement excavation), particularly suitable for soft soil foundations and confined sites, minimizing disruption to the surrounding environment.
Environmental Engineering: Anti-seepage isolation of landfills and enclosures for contaminated soil remediation, where the sealing properties of steel sheet piles prevent the spread of pollutants.
Emergency Engineering: Temporary emergency support after disasters such as earthquakes and floods, such as the rapid construction of retaining walls and the reinforcement of collapsed slopes.
IV. Advantages
High Strength and Stability: Steel sheet piles offer high compressive, bending, and shear resistance, enabling them to withstand complex geological and loading conditions and ensure the safety of the support structure.
Efficient and Convenient Construction: Mechanical piling (such as vibratory hammers and hydraulic hammers) allows for rapid installation, and the length and layout can be flexibly adjusted according to the project schedule. Construction also minimizes environmental impact (e.g., low noise and dust), making them particularly suitable for urban core areas.
Reusable: Steel sheet piles are recyclable materials and can be dismantled and recycled after completion for reuse in other projects, reducing long-term costs and aligning with green construction principles.
Excellent Sealing: A linkage mechanism provides a tight connection, providing excellent water and soil retention, effectively preventing leakage and landslides.
Wide Adaptability: Suitable for a variety of geological conditions (e.g., soft soil, sand, and rock formations) and project sizes, and can be combined with other support structures (e.g., anchors and internal supports) to meet the needs of complex scenarios.
