Galvanized Pipe
Classification :
PRODUCT DETAILS
Description
Galvanized pipe is a steel product with a layer of zinc on the surface through hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing process to improve the corrosion resistance of the steel pipe.
Galvanized pipe is mainly used for carrying water to supply home and commercial buildings; it may also serve as scaffolding frames because of its rust prevention. Galvanized pipe fittings are used for countless outdoor and industrial applications because of the material's ability to protect against corrosion and salt.

Production steps
The process flow is: black tube - alkali washing - water washing - acid washing - water rinsing - dipping aid - drying - hot dip galvanizing - external blowing - internal blowing - air cooling - water cooling - passivation - water rinsing - inspection - weighing - storage.
Zinc layer parameters
Zinc layer thickness: The zinc layer thickness of hot-dip galvanized pipes is generally 85-275g/m². The thicker the zinc layer, the stronger the corrosion resistance; the zinc layer thickness of electro-galvanized pipes is usually 10-50g/m².
Zinc layer adhesion: The copper sulfate test, bending test, etc. are used to test the firmness of the zinc layer and the steel pipe substrate. When high-quality galvanized pipes are bent or deformed, the zinc layer is not easy to fall off.
Implementation standards
National standards: GB/T 3091-2015 (welded steel pipes for low-pressure fluid transportation), GB/T 13793-2016 (straight seam electric welded steel pipes), GB/T 12771-2008 (stainless steel welded steel pipes for fluid transportation), etc.;
American standards: ASTM A53 (welded and seamless steel pipes), ASTM A106 (seamless carbon steel pipes for high temperature);
European standards: EN 10255 (non-alloy and alloy steel pipes for fluid transportation), EN 10217 (welded steel pipes for pressure).
Performance
1.Excellent corrosion resistance: Zinc is suitable for harsh environments such as humidity, acid and alkali.
2.Good mechanical properties: The high strength and hardness of galvanizing itself can withstand greater pressure and load, and can meet the requirements of pipeline strength and stability in construction, industry and other fields.
3.Easy processing and installation: Galvanized pipes can be installed by welding, threaded connection, groove connection and other methods, with simple operation and high construction efficiency.
4.Beautiful and durable: The silvery-white zinc layer on the surface of the galvanized pipe has good decorative properties, making the pipeline look neat and beautiful.
Applications
Hot-dip galvanized steel pipes are widely used in manufacturing industries such as construction, machinery, coal mining, chemical industry, electric power, railway vehicles, automobile industry, highways, bridges, containers, sports facilities, agricultural machinery, petroleum machinery, prospecting machinery, and greenhouse construction.
Galvanized steel pipes are welded steel pipes with a hot-dip or electroplated zinc layer on the surface. Galvanizing can increase the corrosion resistance of steel pipes and extend their service life. Galvanized pipes have a wide range of uses. In addition to being used as pipeline pipes for general low-pressure fluids such as water, gas, and oil, they are also used as oil well pipes and oil pipelines in the petroleum industry, especially offshore oil fields, oil heaters, condenser coolers, coal distillation and washing oil exchangers for chemical coking equipment, and pier pipe piles and support frames for mine tunnels.
Packaging
1. Our galvanized pipes are packed in bundles, and each bundle is tied and fixed with steel or plastic straps to prevent loosening during transportation.
2. If the customer requires long-term sea transportation, we will use waterproof packaging on the outside to prevent seawater from entering and causing corrosion.
