Carbon steel pipe is a hollow tubular steel made of carbon steel through hot rolling, cold rolling, cold drawing and other processes.
Carbon steel can be divided into low carbon steel (carbon content ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (carbon content 0.25% - 0.6%) and high carbon steel (carbon content > 0.6%). The steel with different carbon content determines the difference in performance and use of carbon steel pipe.
There are mainly hot-rolled carbon steel pipe and cold-rolled carbon steel pipe. Hot-rolled pipe has high production efficiency and large pipe diameter, and is often used for conveying fluids or structural support; cold-rolled pipe has high precision and thin pipe wall, which is suitable for manufacturing mechanical parts and precision pipes.

Mechanical properties
Yield strength: The yield strength of low carbon steel pipe is generally 200-300MPa; the yield strength of medium carbon steel pipe is about 300-500MPa.
Tensile strength: The tensile strength of low carbon steel pipe is 370-500MPa; the tensile strength of medium carbon steel pipe is 500-650MPa.
Elongation: The elongation of low carbon steel pipe is relatively high, generally 20%-35%; the elongation of medium carbon steel pipe is relatively low, about 15%-25%.
Standards
National standard: GB/T 8162 (seamless steel pipe for structure), GB/T 8163 (seamless steel pipe for conveying fluid), GB/T 3091 (welded steel pipe for low pressure fluid conveying), etc.
American standard: ASTM A53 (welded and seamless steel pipe), ASTM A106 (seamless carbon steel pipe for high temperature).
European standards: EN 10217 (welded steel pipes for pressure), EN 10216 (seamless steel pipes for pressure).
Use
Structural support: Carbon steel pipes are used to build scaffolding and construction.
Pipeline system: As a building water supply and drainage pipe, it can also be used for heating pipes, ventilation pipes, etc.
Fluid transportation: used to transport various fluid media such as oil, natural gas, steam, industrial wastewater, etc.
Mechanical manufacturing: manufacturing mechanical parts, such as hydraulic cylinders, drive shafts, automotive parts, etc.
Power engineering: boiler pipes and steam pipes used in power plants.
Automobile manufacturing: some automotive parts, such as exhaust pipes and drive shafts, are made of carbon steel pipes.
Shipbuilding: hull structure and piping system of ships.

For large-diameter carbon steel pipes (outer diameter > 108mm), single-piece packaging will be wrapped with straw ropes, bubble film and other materials to prevent surface scratches.
