Description
Galvanized coil, full name hot-dip galvanized steel coil, is a steel product with good corrosion resistance. It is made of hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel plate as the substrate. After continuous hot-dip galvanizing process, a zinc layer is formed on the surface of the steel plate, so as to obtain a steel product with good corrosion resistance. Its surface presents a silvery white metallic luster, the zinc layer is uniform and dense, the appearance is flat and smooth, and there are no obvious zinc flower defects, scratches, indentations and other surface quality problems. According to the production process and the amount of zinc layer adhesion, galvanized coils can be divided into hot-dip galvanized coils and electro-galvanized coils.

V. Packaging description
Inner packaging: Generally, moisture-proof paper, plastic film and other materials are used to wrap the galvanized coil to prevent the surface from being scratched, damp and rusted during transportation and storage. For some special uses or galvanized coils with high surface quality requirements, anti-rust paper or anti-rust oil will be added to the moisture-proof paper or plastic film to further enhance the anti-rust effect.

For galvanized products, we have three layers of waterproof packaging.
1. Waterproof thick plastic paper is used inside to prevent water ingress.
2. The second layer is packed with thick kraft paper, which is waterproof and prevents surface scratches, further enhancing the anti-rust effect.
3. Thick iron sheet packaging is used outside, which not only protects the steel coils in depth, but also plays a wear-resistant role. We use special full-wrapped corner guards for the corners. It can effectively prevent the steel coils from being collided and damaged during transportation and loading and unloading.

Q: What is the relationship between the zinc layer thickness and corrosion resistance of galvanized coils?
A **: The zinc layer thickness is positively correlated with corrosion resistance. The thicker the zinc layer, the thicker the protective film formed, the stronger the protective effect on the steel plate substrate, and the longer the corrosion resistance of the galvanized coil under the same use environment. However, as the thickness of the zinc layer increases, the cost will also increase accordingly. Therefore, it is necessary to reasonably select the zinc layer thickness according to the actual use environment and requirements.
Q: What issues should be paid attention to during the welding process of galvanized coils?
A **: When welding galvanized coils, due to the presence of the zinc layer, welding defects such as pores and spatter may occur. Therefore, before welding, the zinc layer of the welding part needs to be polished to remove part of the zinc layer to reduce the occurrence of welding defects. At the same time, it is necessary to select appropriate welding materials and welding process parameters, such as using welding methods such as argon arc welding, and control parameters such as welding current, voltage and welding speed to ensure welding quality.
Q: What are the requirements for the storage conditions of galvanized coils?
