Color coated steel coil is a product made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, hot-dip aluminum-zinc steel sheet, electro-galvanized steel sheet, etc., which is coated with one or several layers of organic coating on the surface after surface pretreatment (chemical degreasing and chemical conversion treatment), and then cured by baking. It is named after the colored steel coil coated with various colors of organic coatings, and is referred to as color coated steel coil

Coating types

1. Top paint film: RPE, SMP, HDP, PVDF, Other paints.

Function: It functions as a sunlight proof cover,especially prevent the destroy by the ultraviolet rays.When the top paint film reaches a certain thickness, it forms a compact cover,and reduce the water and oxygen permeability.

2. Primer paint film: Polyurethane, Epoxy, PE.

Function: Strengthen the adhesiveness between the top paint film and the basemetal. Even permeable water happens, the top paint film will not peel off.There is corrosion inhibitor which is corrosion resistance.Polyurethane is necessary for higher processing flexibility and weather resistance requirements.

3. Passivation layer Function: Increase the adhesion between the metallic layer and coating film. Extend life span also.

4. Metallic coating Function:The metallic coating provides the fundamental protection for the steel.The popular coating metal are galvanized, galvalumed and other alloyed metals.

5. Substrate steel Cold rolled steel is usually used as substrate, it decides the mechanical properties and the steel shape and flatness.

6. Back paint film Epoxy, Modified PE. Back paint can sustain color in good condition and has good binding.

Package

For PPGI products, we have three layers of waterproof packaging.

1. Waterproof thick plastic paper is used inside to prevent water ingress.

2. The second layer is packed with thick kraft paper, which is waterproof and prevents surface scratches, further enhancing the anti-rust effect.

3. Thick iron sheet packaging is used outside, which not only protects the steel coils in depth, but also plays a wear-resistant role. We use special full-wrapped corner guards for the corners. It can effectively prevent the steel coils from being collided and damaged during transportation and loading and unloading.

We can do:

1. Our PPGI/PPGL has high corrosion resistance

The thickness of our substrate galvanized layer can be customized: because the thicker the zinc layer (such as above 120g/m²), the stronger the corrosion resistance, especially suitable for high humidity and high salt spray environment (such as coastal areas and near chemical plants).

Our PPGI coating has very strong adhesion: its coating and substrate have very strong bonding, and good paint is used to avoid peeling and rusting of the substrate after long-term use.

We will do weather resistance tests: our PPGI passes ultraviolet light (UV) resistance, humidity and heat resistance tests (such as QUV aging test), and promises a service life (such as 10 years, 15 years without rust).

2. About the color and decoration of PPGI and PPGL

The color stability is very strong: avoid fading due to long-term exposure to sunlight (such as fluorocarbon coating has better weather resistance than ordinary polyester coating).

Regarding PPGI, we provide color customization capabilities: we can provide special colors (such as Pantone color card customization) and textures (such as imitation marble, metal brushing).

Our surface gloss: matte, semi-gloss, high-gloss effects can be customized according to customer requirements (such as high-end buildings tend to have low gloss texture).

3. Processing performance:

Our substrate hardness and ductility: can withstand bending, stamping, rolling and other processing processes (such as color-coated rolls for construction must meet the requirements of roof tile molding).
